From Tuesday 6th October, Level 3 restrictions become effective all over the country.
During this temporary period of restriction, all our churches will open for private prayer only and our masses will once again be celebrated behind closed doors. Mass times are published in our weekly newsletter available at http://crossmolinaparish.com/parish-newsletter/ To view our masses, please log on the http://churchtv.ie/crossmolina.html
Restrictions include the following:
- weddings may proceed, but with a limit of 25 guests for ceremony and reception (irrespective of venue). It will not be possible to attend a wedding in another county. Couples resident in a particular county, but with existing plans to get married can travel to get married outside that county.
- maximum number of mourners to attend a funeral is 25.
Parishioners are welcome to listen to mass in their cars (St Tiernan’s Church) and receive communion after mass.
We each need to reduce contact with other people as much as possible, so that means staying at home, working from home where possible, practicing physical distancing and stopping discretionary socializing.
People must now make choices. Stop meeting up in groups, stop socializing, stop organizing play dates, parties and other social activities. People must recognize that the disease is a direct threat to themselves and their families. Now is the time for each of us to act.
You can view our Parish Newsletter weekly on our website and copies are also available in the porch of St Tiernan’s Church.
We hope and pray all our Parishioners stay safe and well during these few weeks and we look forward to seeing you again once restrictions have lifted.
